Union Bank Nigeria and Newgen Software have been awarded the Best Branch Digitisation Initiative at The Asian Banker West Africa Awards Programme 2019. The Asian Banker Financial Technology Innovation Awards Programme provides the undisputed benchmark of the technology innovation in an increasingly fierce marketplace.
The awards ceremony was held at Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island Lagos State Nigeria on April 25th, 2019. Union Bank automated its branch operations through a new workflow and business management solution with a centralized back-office and integrated it with third-party applications and robotic processes.
The award was received on behalf of the Union bank by Lola Cardoso, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer, Segun Lamidi, Head of Operations, Union Bank and on behalf of the Newgen by Naveed Ahmad, Engagement Manager- Strategic Accounts (West Africa).
